Brief

Ann is the woman behind Middlethorpe Interiors, and she had a clear ambition: to reposition her business to attract more discerning higher-end clients seeking bespoke, full-service interior design. Her previous branding and website, while functional, no longer reflected the sophistication and meticulous attention to detail of her current portfolio.

The core challenge was to create a new brand identity that immediately communicated luxury, exclusivity and Ann’s personal design philosophy. This required a strategic pivot from a local presence to a more refined, considered design aesthetic.

We began with in-depth brand strategy at The Newt to define Ann's unique value proposition, ideal client and brand personality. This clarity became the foundation for all subsequent designs.

We developed a complete visual identity centred on understated luxury. This included a custom wordmark logo that speaks to heritage and craftsmanship, a serene colour palette of deep neutrals, and refined typography chosen for classic readability and modern appeal.

The brief for Ann’s website was simple: it had to function as a beautiful, curated digital gallery. The design needed to be image-focussed, with minimal clutter, allowing Ann’s high-end portfolio projects to shine.

The website was structured to deliver an excellent user experience. The navigation and project pages ensure that prospective clients can quickly absorb the quality and range of Ann's work.

The website copy and messaging was crafted to establish Ann as an industry authority. The tone is confident, professional, and service-oriented, speaking directly to the discerning client about the benefits of her full-service interior design rather than just listing features.
